"Do not be tempted to take the easy way out by turning your interests into a career choice.
When it is merely your interest, you do not need the approval of others. You have the freedom to sing, cook, design your home or invest in stocks however you like it to be.
Once you turn your interest into an occupation, you will be bound to other people's approval. As such your interest becomes a chore. What was once a garden of your own cultivation has now become a battlefield of wills.
Instead of basing your career choice on what you like to do, select a job based on what you are competent at. Keep your secret garden for your own amusement. "
