Asia’s First Nocturnal Bird House
The World of Darkness at the Singapore Zoological Gardens is Asia’s first nocturnal bird house and was opened in 1982. The exhibits include approximately 60 birds from 17 different species, including the snowy owl and the night heron.

Asia’s Only Philatelic Museum
The Singapore Philatelic Museum at Coleman Street occupies part of the former buildings of Anglo-Chinese School built in 1904. In the 1970s, the building became the Methodist Book Room until it was restored to become the present museum. It was opened in 1995 to promote interest and the appreciation of Singapore’s history and heritage in philately.
Outside the museum is Singapore’s only operational red pillar box which was introduced in 1873.
亚洲唯一的集邮馆

Asia’s Tallest Free Standing Observation Tower
The 130-m tall Carlsberg Sky Tower opened in Feb 2004 next to Cable Car Station in Sentosa. At any one time, a maximum of 72 people can take a ride in the revolving cabin that goes up the tower to enjoy the panaromic views of the city and beyond. It takes about seven minutes to reach the top.

Cleanest Toilet
The Singapore Zoological Gardens won the Cleanest Toilet Award in 1997 and 1998 from the Ministry of Environment. Later the assessment came under the Restroom Association of Singapore, which gave it the five Star awards for cleanliness, functionality and creativity in 2003 and 2004 in its Happy Toilet Awards.
最清洁厕所
新加坡动物园曾于1997和1998年两度获得环境部颁发的“最清洁厕所奖”。而后又在新加坡厕所协会的评选中，于2003年荣获“清洁、功能和创意”五星级厕所，2004年荣获“快乐厕所奖”。
