First Sikh Temple

The first Sikh Temple was erected within the police compound at Pearl’s Hill. In 1912, a group of Sikhs acquired a bungalow at Queen’s Street and turned it into a temple. When the land on which the temple stood was acquired by the government, the Central Sikh Temple in Towner Road was built and opened in 1986.

第一间锡克庙

第一间锡克庙建在珍珠山警察局的地段。1912年，一群锡克人把奎因街的一间洋房改建成庙。后来政府征用这个地方，于是1986年在陶纳路建成“中央锡克庙”。

First Synagogue

The first Jewish synagogue was built in 1841 at a small shophouse in Synagogue Street by Abraham Solomon, who came from Baghdad. The Jewish worshippers moved to a new synagogue, Maghain Aboth Synagogue in 1878.

第一间犹太教堂

来自巴格达的亚伯拉罕·所罗门，于1841年在会堂街的一间小店屋里，创办了第一间犹太教堂。1878年，犹太教徒迁移到新的会所，马海阿布犹太教堂。

First Teochew Catholic Church

Constructed in 1901 by Father Jean Casimir Saleilles, Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the oldest Catholic church serving the Teochew community in Serangoon. It was gazetted as a national monument.

位于实龙岗，由吉恩神父1901年建造的圣母圣诞堂是最老的为潮州社区服务的教堂。已经被列为国家古迹。

Largest Buddha Statue

The Buddha statue in the Sakya Muni Buddha Gaya, at Race Course Road, is 15m high and weighs 300 ton. The statue is illuminated by coloured electric lights. The temple is also known as the ‘Temple of Thousand Lights’.

跑马场路释迦牟尼菩提迦耶寺的佛像高15米，重300吨。佛像由彩色灯光照明。该寺也称作“千光寺”。

Largest Church Building

From the lowest basement to the top of the steeple cross, City Harvest Church is 54 m in height. The main auditorium has an area of 1,700 sq m. It is the biggest church structure in the Southeast Asian Peninsula.
